Riana Courtis

Graduate Gemmologist (GIA) and General Manager

Riana Courtis is a Graduate Gemmologist (GIA) and the General Manager at Prins & Prins Diamonds. She plays a central role in the evaluation, selection, and procurement of natural diamonds, pearls, and coloured gemstones, while overseeing the daily management of the business.

Trained through the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), Riana applies formal gemmological standards when assessing diamonds and gemstones for quality, authenticity, and suitability for fine jewellery. Her work focuses on characteristics such as colour, clarity, cut performance, and durability, with particular attention to long-term wearability and value.

Riana has specific expertise in pearls and coloured gemstones, where careful selection and grading are essential. She is closely involved in gemstone buying decisions and works alongside gemmologists and goldsmiths to ensure that each diamond or gemstone selected is appropriate for its intended design and setting.

In her role as General Manager, Riana supports client consultations, coordinates internal processes, and ensures that gemmological standards, workshop execution, and client expectations remain aligned throughout bespoke and collection-based projects.
